Banisteriopsis Caapi - Red Vine Shredded 50gram
OverviewBanisteriopsis caapi Red vine shredded
The Banisteriopsis Caapi liana is the main ingredient of Ayahuasca. It is a sacred brew that has been known for decades as a means of entering divine worlds. Furthermore, this vine is also used all over the world to make Change.
Banisteriopsis caapi, better known as Caapi or Yajé, is a liana from the Amazon rainforest that is used for its MAO-inhibiting properties in Ayahuasca brews. There are more than 40 different variants of this vine type.
Different versions
The Banisteriopsis caapi Red vine is available as a piece of stalk of the vine, as shredded or as a powder. This makes it possible to choose the right kind for each preparation and thus to meet the conditions of the ritual.
Infusion
Unless you are an experienced shaman, you will need to add an extra plant with DMT (dimethyltryptamine) to the infusion to get into a different mood. DMT immediately provides the psychoactive, visionary effect. Normally, however, DMT is broken down by enzymes upon oral intake. This makes it non-psychoactive. By adding Banisteriopsis Caapi to the infusion, these enzymes are temporarily eliminated. This is due to the MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitory properties. The infusion result is a perfect Ayahuasca brew.
Dosage
If you are only going to use Banisteriopsis Caapi, the dosage will depend on personal factors and the sensitivity to this substance. The goal, of course, also influences. Usually a dosage between 25 grams and 150 grams is chosen. The following dosages apply in an Ayahuasca brew with the addition of a DMT plant species:
Light trip: 35 - 50 grams
Normal trip: 80 - 120 grams
Very strong trip: between 100 and 150 grams
Caapi in Ayahuasca brew
Proceed as follows to make an Ayahuasca brew with a Caapi type:
Combine 50 grams of Banisteriopsis Caapi with DMT-containing plant species such as Chaliponga or Chacruna. Bring the created mix to the boil in a pan with plenty of water. As soon as it starts to boil, set your gas to the lowest setting. Let the brew stand for a few (+/- 3 to 4) hours.
If necessary, add some water in between, but not too much at once. The active and active substances are now dissolved in the water.
Once the infusion is ready to your taste, sieve the plant material from the Ayahuasca brew. The amount of water is reduced to a drinkable level through the boiling process. Do you want to speed up the extraction process? Then add lemon juice or some natural vinegar to your recipe at your own discretion.
