RAW Filter Tips 40 Tips

RAW Tips are made on an antique Fourdrinier paper machine. While RAW paper is made in Alcoy, Spain, in Alcoy we only have machines to produce thin paper. For the thick tip paper we had to travel to an old paper factory in Northern China that still used an original Fourdrinier. This was the only place we could find that still had one of these old machines in use, which we needed to make the special long grain paper for RAW tips. Want to know more? Modern paper mills use small-textured cellulose to make paper. The original paper mills used fiber instead. For tipping paper to perform optimally, it must be made of fibers – and not just cooked cellulose. Fiber-based tips roll smoothly AND have enough structural stiffness to both hold their shape in your mouth AND not dissolve. Very few original Fourdrinier paper machines are in use because they are antique and expensive to run.
